TOWN OF LA VALLE
La Valle Town Board Special Meeting Minutes
November 17, 2008

1.Chairman Brey called the meeting to order at 7:00 a.m. 

2.Roll call: Supervisor Hartje-present; Supervisor Geitz-present;
Supervisor Neau-present; Supervisor Lucht-present; Chairman
Brey-present. All members present

3.A motion was made by Supervisor Neau, seconded by Supervisor Hartje:
To approve the posted agenda. Motion carried voice vote all aye. 

4.Discussion on wages & benefits for employees.
4a. A motion was made by Supervisor Hartje, seconded by Supervisor
Neau: To approve wages (attached) for the Police Department employees.
Roll Call: Supervisor Hartje-aye; Supervisor Geitz-aye; Supervisor
Neau-aye; Supervisor Lucht-aye; Chairman Brey-aye. Motion carried all
aye.
4b A motion was made by Supervisor Geitz, seconded by Supervisor Neau:
To approve wage & benefit packages (attached)  for Al Johnson, Steven
Coens and Katie Radtke. Roll call: Supervisor Hartje-aye; Supervisor
Geitz-aye; Supervisor Neau-aye; Supervisor Lucht-aye; Chairman
Brey-aye. Motion carried all aye.
4c A motion was made to approve annual salary for Clerk $8,500,
Treasurer $7,500, road workers Level 1 Greg Hahn-$15.00 per hour and
additional workers level 2 at $13.00 per hour. Roll call: Supervisor
Hartje-aye; Supervisor Geitz-aye; Supervisor Neau-aye; Supervisor
Lucht-aye; Chairman Brey-aye. Motion carried all aye.

5.The board prepared the 2009 budget for submission to the electors
Dec. 3 at the budget hearing.

6.A motion was made by  Supervisor Hartje, seconded by Supervisor
Lucht: To approve a 2008 levy to be collected in 2009 of $599,276 with
a debt obligation of $166,054 for a total of $765,330. Roll call:
Supervisor Hartje-aye; Supervisor Geitz-aye; Supervisor Neau-aye;
Supervisor Lucht-aye; Chairman Brey-aye. Motion carried all aye.

7.A motion was made by Supervisor Neau, seconded by Supervisor Hartje:
To adjourn. Motion carried voice vote all aye.
