July 10, 2008
Meeting: was called to order at 7:01pm by President Connie Hartje. 
Roll call was taken.	
Roll Call:  Connie Hartje	present		Greg Hahn

3.  AGENDA: was read and approved.  A motion was made by Calvin Brey
seconded Karen Geitz by to approve. All aye.  
4.  MINUTES: were read and approved.  A motion was made by Mark
Schyvinck seconded by Andrew Johnson to approve.  All aye.  Motion
passed.
5.  BILLS:  were presented to the committee by Chief Hahn for the
month of June.  A motion was made by Calvin Brey seconded by Karen
Geitz to approve checks #4221-#4238 totaling $6,597.07.   
		ROLL CALL:        Connie Hartje		yes-abstaining on #4229
			      	       Calvin Brey		yes
			                   Karen Geitz		yes
			                   Andrew Johnson		yes
				       Mark Schyvinck		yes
      Motion was made by Connie Hartje seconded by Andrew Johnson to
deposit $6500.00 into the checking account according to the present
split.  All aye. Motion passed.  Motion was made by Karen Geitz
seconded by Andrew Johnson to approve the Financial Statement.  All
aye. Motion passed.
	Calvin brought up the possibility of the fire department buying a
tank for gas and putting it at the fire house or purchasing from the
township.  Greg will be checking.  
6.  DONATIONS:  A thank you, appreciation, picnic on the Sunday of the
Labor Day dance.  Calvin Brey made a motion seconded Connie Hartje to
set up a fund for donations at the fire house.  All aye motion passed.
 Jan Berry-Neu will help set up arrangements.  The Village and Town
will need to get approval at the meetings Monday night.   
7. CHIEF’S REPORT:  Greg reviewed the calls for the month of June. 
Fire works, July 5, was a huge success, and basically calm with the
police presence.  LaValle Fire Department will be manning the EMS
booth at the Sauk County Fair July 11.  Construction on the fire house
is going smoothly.  The tile flooring should be done by the end of the
month.  The total loss at the fire house was less the $45,000.00. 
Virgil fixed the outside of the building, and 15 tables need to be
replaced.   
	There was concern over private citizens lighting off fireworks and
the mess that is    	left behind.   		      
8.  ADJOURN:   A motion was made by Calvin Brey seconded by Karen
Geitz to adjourn.  Motion carried.  
Meeting adjourned at 8:00pm.
