April 6, 2009
1.Meeting: was called to order at 7:00pm by President Connie Hartje. 
Roll call was taken.	
2.Roll Call:  Connie Hartje-present; Calvin Brey-absent; Karen
Geitz-present; Andrew Johnson-present; Mark Schyvinck-present.
Visitors: Fire Chief Marin Milewski, Rocky Sobeck, Scott Parish, Chuck
Setter, Greh Hahn, Jan Berry-Neau, Tom McAfee.
3.AGENDA: was read and approved.  A motion was made by Karen Geitz
seconded by Andrew Johnson to approve. All aye.  Motion passed  
4.DATE FOR NEXT MEETING: Wednesday April 6, 2009 at 7pm.  
5.MINUTES: were read and approved.  A motion was made by Mark
Schyvinck seconded by Andrew Johnson to approve the minutes.  All aye.
 Motion passed.
6.BILLS:  were presented to the committee by Chief Milewski for the
month of April.  A motion was made by Andrew Johnson seconded by Karen
Geitz to approve checks #4381-#4401 totaling $4,907.88.   
ROLL CALL:Connie Hartje-yes abstaining on #4400; Calvin Brey-absent;
Karen Geitz-yes; Andrew Johnson-yes; Mark Schyvinck-yes
Motion was made by Karen Geitz seconded by Andrew Johnson to deposit
$4,900.00 into the checking account according to the present split. 
All aye. Motion passed.
Motion was made by Andrew Johnson seconded by Mark Schyvinck to
approve the Financial Statement.  All aye. Motion passed.
7.FEMA PAYMENT: Connie advised that all the money has been sent to the
Township and in May the payments should be sent out.  Greg gave Connie
some paper work in reference to the money and advised Katie said it
would be July before payment to the fire department members would be
made. Connie will find of at the next board meeting.  
8.BY-LAWS: Connie asked for some days that Calvin could schedule a
meeting with the 
Attorney Stittleburg.  Possible dates could be May 4th, 6th, or the
14th.  
9.CHIEF’S REPORT:  Fire department member put in 138.5 hours for the
month of March.  The new car technology at the fire house March 28 had
about 80 people in attendance. Hydro testing will be started on 40
SCBA’s and 6 storage cylinders.  There has been a problem with
communications on the fire/ems channel.  The local cable provider and
the county will be looking into the problem.  The family of Helen
Gietz will be purchasing the defibrillator already in use at the fire
department.  The fire department will be purchasing a new, more
suitable unit for EMS. A state wide severe weather warning will be on
April 23rd from 1pm to 2pm.  Chicken BBQ will be on April 7th.  May
23rd the fire department will be joining in on a county wide ‘CCR’
training of the general public.  This will be put on by Sauk County
EMS Association in an effort to get the public more involved incase of
a witnessed cardiac arrest.  Sauk County Chiefs will be hosting their
next meeting on April 16th and the EMS will having a meeting on April
23rd; LaValle will be sending representatives to both.  Marin brought
up the repair to the first responder truck hood.  The cost would be
$1002.55. Andrew Johnson made a motion seconded by Mark Schyvinck to
wait until fall and see how the budget looks.

10.COMMUNICATION:  No one had any questions or commitments 
11.ADJOURN:  A motion was made by Karen Geitz seconded by Andrew
Johnson to adjourn.  Motion carried.  Meeting adjourned at 7:35pm.
