TOWN OF LA VALLE La Valle Town Board Special Meeting Minutes October 27, 2008 1.Chairman Brey called the meeting to order at 7:00 a.m. 2.Roll call: Supervisor Hartje-present; Supervisor Geitz-present; Supervisor Neau-present; Supervisor Lucht-present; Chairman Brey-present. All members present 3.A motion was made by Supervisor Neau, seconded by Supervisor Hartje: To approve the posted agenda. Motion carried voice vote all aye. 4.Jim & Ruth Gallagher appeared before the board requesting the board to consider increasing the donation to cemeteries to $500 for year 2009. 5.Notice of Intergovernmental Meeting in Plain Oct. 30. 6.Meeting of Plan Commission with MSA tentatively set on the Dec. 16. 7.A motion was made by Supervisor Lucht, seconded by Supervisor Hartje: To amend the Construction Contract to provide for a lein waiver from Harmony Construction guaranteeing all payments made to the escrow company for Harmony Const. are considered paid to Harmony Construction. Motion carried voice vote all aye. 8.A motion was made by Supervisor Hartje, seconded by Supervisor Neau: To approve the pay request from CECO Building Systems for $151,987.00 (steel building) as presented by Mr. Jackson. Motion carried voice vote all aye. 9.A discussion regarding the budget was held. It was felt there was not enough information available to set the numbers at this time. 10.Discussion on wages & benefits for employees. 11.A motion was made by Supervisor Geitz, seconded by Supervisor Neau: To set the pre-budget meeting Nov. 17, 7 pm and the Budget Hearing Dec. 3, 7 pm. 12.A motion was made by Supervisor Geitz, seconded by Supervisor Lucht: To adjourn Motion carried voice vote all aye.
